Morgan Hill Unified School District Trustee Rebecca Munson Announces Candidacy for Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, District 1 -  

Today, Rebecca Munson, a dedicated member of the Morgan Hill Unified School District Board of Education representing Trustee Area 6, formally announced her intention to run for Santa Clara County Supervisor in District 1 in the 2026 election.

Munson, who was elected to the MHUSD Board in November 2024 after a successful campaign focused on education, community values, and fiscal responsibility, brings a strong background in both education and finance to her candidacy. With 14 years of experience as a teacher and 18 years in banking, she is a lifelong resident of the Morgan Hill area, a product of the local school district, and a parent whose two children graduated from Sobrato High School.

Today, Rebecca Munson, Morgan Hill Unified School District Trustee and announced candidate for Santa Clara County Supervisor in District 1, officially launched her campaign website at rebeccamunsond1.com.

The new site serves as the central hub for Munson's 2026 campaign, offering visitors an introduction to her vision for a "fresh future" in Santa Clara County. It highlights her commitment to addressing key issues facing District 1 residents, including affordable housing, education support, public safety, economic opportunity, and responsible county governance.
